“Experience dance”: an artistic pedagogical practice

The article presents a summary of the master’s dissertation Dance Experience: behind the scenes of an artistic-pedagogical practice developed at the Unicamp Institute of Arts, guided by Profa. Dr. Ana Maria Rodriguez Costas. An artistic-pedagogical practice elaborated by the author was examined based on her trajectory as an artist and dance teacher, supported by a contemporary dance perspective in line with the thinking of Louppe (2012) and assumptions of the collective Judson Dance (BANES, 1994; 1999; 2003, CAVRELL, 2012). The qualitative research of exploratory character started from the autoetnographic approach combined with the investigation of the practice itself with the objective of showing the articulations between conceptions and dance practices as well as the power of the dance act itself as a generator and producer of knowledge.
