El bailarín y su configuración como categoría en una obra de danza

This article analyses the categories that define the dancer as the main element of significance for the construction of dance semiotics based on a documentary review. Within a plural paradigm that integrates qualitative analysis and art-based research, and from observational methodology, we developed an ad hoc analysis instrument headed to study the relationship between movement and space, and the features that generates meaning within the communication process. Among the most outstanding results we highli-ght categorizing the signs that delimit this element as a descriptive and analytical tool. These allow us to conclude how, in a main but not unique way, this element and the organization or conformation of its signs generate meaning within the discourse of dance plays and also being a contribution to its semiotics as a set of elements of creation with meaning.
