La Danza de los orfelinos.

This study describes the first stage of a National Restructuring Dance Project in Mexico, developed during the seventies, which was inspired and surveyed by Cuba. Amongst other things, a group of orphans were meant to become professional ballet dancers. The project, silenced in the annals of our history, offers a view of the cultural policies of our country at the time, as well as the multiple aspects (social, educational, esthetic, medical, economical and political) with which professional dance training can be related with.
